Makiwara/Breaking Boards
Gone are the days of using pine wooden boards to break. Technology has allowed for the creation of heavy-duty plastic breaking boards. These boards can be color-coded in difficult to break, usually matching the belt colors, so that even beginners can have the satisfaction of hearing the “crack” of their board breaking. And the best part about these plastic breaking boards is that once they break, you can put them back together and break them again, and they retain the same amount of resistance as they did the first time.
